Max Shepherd is a 2027 OF, CI, P, UT, C with a 5-10 130 lb. frame from Overland Park, KS who will attend Liberty North. Primary outfielder with a medium and physically advanced frame who can double as a true Utility. Athletic mover and gets around the baseball well, long arm stroke from the Outfield, and developing arm strength. Can work in the infield and use a short length arm action to throw across. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with even feet. Employs a leg lift trigger and shows good bat speed. Some loft to bat path and overall clean, refined stroke. Torques the hips well who can send line drives to the middle of the field often. Secondary right-handed pitcher with good extension and drives hard down the mound, short run to the fastball with some feel for a pair of secondaries in knuckleball and changeup. Can work at the bottom of the zone with offspeed and elevated fastball late in counts.
