Outlaws Parents -

Many of you have had the opportunity to meet and discuss "Wellbody" with Dr Randy Goldstein at practice over the last two weeks. For those of you who may have missed his meeting, Dr Goldstein is a Board certified pediatrician with an emphasis in sport medicine, who will be visiting the Club at both practices and games in the upcoming weeks. Dr Goldstein and Coach Ken have agreed to work together in a wellness and preventative arena for our girls in the Outlaws Club. Dr Goldstein is interested in providing prevention techniques, rehabilitation and healthcare information for premier athletes. He would like to be able to assist our girls in times of need for many types of injuries and to help them get back to playing at 100% of their ability. His philosophy is that "with aggressive rehabilitation, medicine and an understanding for the commitment and competitiveness of a premier league athlete - several days, not weeks , may be all that is necessary for a safe return".

While Dr Goldstein may suggest additional treatments or make referrals to either a pediatric doctor or another expert in the medical field, he is not hoping to replace your primary physician. He is hoping to be able to help with an early diagnosis and assist us down the path of being injury free. Wellbody is a service Dr Goldstein is offering free of charge to both the Outlaws Club and our coach. He will work hand in hand with Coach Ken to make judgements about our kids readiness to attend practices and or upcoming games when an injury has occurred. If you are interested in having his medical expertise help you with certain athletic health issues, please visit his wesite and find the consent form under "schedule" and finally "consent form". You must have a signed medical consent on file with him before he will be able to help you with medical needs. You are welcome to bring those forms to practice and I will be collecting them over the next couple of weeks. We are thrilled to have Dr. Goldstein on board!
